History
Schurz celebrates its 151st birthday this year. The company was founded on March 9, 1872, with the start of a third newspaper in South Bend, Indiana and the belief in a community’s vitality and future. That newspaper, the South Bend Tribune, became the paper of record in its market and the flagship in the company’s media portfolio. While the company make-up and footprint look much different today, moving from a media centric organization to one that is focused on the technology of information sharing and making human and geographic connections happen on a global scale, our values have remained the same. Our purpose is to connect and empower through innovative technologies and provide a better understanding of the world, so that our customers are more informed and can positively impact our communities and society. Today we do so through broadband and managed cloud service offerings.
Mission and Vision
