Gesumino A. Agostino

Jessie Agostino was promoted to Chief Administrative Officer of Schurz Communications in September 2024. He has a long and distinguished career with the company and has been promoted multiple times. As CAO, Agostino is primarily responsible for enterprise risk management in addition to strategically developing policies and procedures that support efficient operations, protect assets and reputation, and mitigate risks throughout the organization.
Prior to becoming CAO, Agostino served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Schurz since April 2016. As CFO, he was instrumental in the divestiture of Schurz media businesses (broadcasting in 2016, and publishing in 2019), and its subsequent pivot to being a technology company. Schurz now provides broadband internet to six markets across the states as well as operates a managed cloud services business with an international business presence. While CFO, Agostino was a key contributor to achieving record EBITDA levels in 2023 and surpassing prior peak EBITDA levels achieved before the divestitures in only five years. Also in 2023, Agostino secured the largest credit facility in the Company’s then 151-year history to fund future fiber broadband expansion and growth initiatives.
Agostino started with Schurz as the Internal Auditor in June 1992. He was involved in various controllership duties in addition to his audit function which led to his promotion to Corporate Controller in January 2004. In April 2014, Agostino was named a Vice President before becoming CFO. Over his 32-year career with Schurz, Agostino has been involved with over twenty acquisitions.
Agostino earned his MBA from the University of Notre Dame in 2010. Prior to joining Schurz Communications, he worked for Crowe Chizek & Company for three years as an auditor and tax accountant. Agostino is a CPA with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame.
